Making the Most of a 14-Day Pressure Washing Software Free Trial
Plenty of owners sign up for a free trial, click around for ten minutes, get pulled back to work and let it expire. Two weeks later they are no closer to knowing whether the software fits. A trial is only useful if you use it on real work.
Know What You Are Testing
The plans and what each includes are covered in Pressure Washing Software Pricing: What Start, Pro and Crew Include. The trial is where you find out whether the software earns its price for your company.
PressureWashingBossPro's trial lasts 14 days and needs no credit card to start. You get full access, so you can test everything, not a cut-down version.
Before Day One: Try the Live Demo
If you want a feel for the screens before putting in your own data, start with the live demo. It is already filled with sample customers, jobs and routes, so you can click through the Waiting List, the dispatch board and the crew app without setting anything up.
Spend twenty minutes there. Open a job card in the crew app, look at the detail line under the address, and move a pin from the Waiting List onto a rig. Then start the trial knowing where things are.
Week One: Load Real Work
Use the first few days to put your real business in. Follow the plan in Setting Up Pressure Washing Software in Your First Week, but if time is short, focus on:
- Your service list and prices. So estimates and invoices are real.
- Your customers by CSV import. Addresses are placed on the map automatically.
- Your recurring customers. Plans, last visits and job details, so the Waiting List shows what is actually due.
- Your operators. PINs and rig assignments, and the crew app on their phones.
Fake test customers tell you very little. Your own messy, real customer list tells you everything.
Week Two: Run Real Days
With real data in, run at least three real days through the software from start to finish:
- Pull due visits from the Waiting List and add approved jobs.
- Assign them to a rig, auto-route from the shop and adjust the order.
- Run the day from the crew app: navigation, Start, photos, Complete.
- Watch customers get their night-before, on-the-way and arrived alerts.
- Check that completing jobs created invoices.
Pay attention to how the day feels compared with your old way. Fewer calls from the crew? Fewer “when are you coming” texts? Less paperwork in the evening?
Test the Parts That Make Money
During the trial, put a few new quotes through the full estimate flow. Measure from satellite, build the estimate from your service list, send it, and let the customer approve online. See the approved estimate become a scheduled job with its details.
Set up one commercial account with several addresses on Monthly billing, so you can see how the statement will look. If you have a customer willing to save a card, test card-on-file charging on a real completed job.
Get Customers Involved
The trial is also a chance to see how customers react. Send a few real estimates for online approval and watch how quickly they come back. Let regular customers receive their night-before and on-the-way alerts. Point one or two friendly customers to the customer app on wash day so they can see the live route map.
Customer reactions tell you something no feature list can. If people reply to alerts with “thanks, cars are moved,” the software is already saving you a trip back to the driveway.
Questions to Answer by Day 14
By the end of the trial, you should be able to answer:
- Did every recurring visit show up when it should have?
- Could my operators run a day from the crew app without calling me?
- Did estimates go out faster than before?
- Did invoices go out without me writing them?
- Is the office quieter?
- Which plan fits: Start at $59, Pro at $89 or Crew at $199?
If the answers are mostly yes, the decision is easy.
Common Trial Mistakes
- Starting during the busiest week. You will not have time to set up. Start a week or two before.
- Only the owner tries it. Put the crew app on at least one operator's phone.
- Using fake data. Real customers reveal real gaps.
- Skipping billing. Invoices and card on file are where the time savings add up.
