The Waiting List Map: Scheduling Recurring Pressure Washing Visits as They Come Due

Recurring work is the quiet engine of a pressure washing company. Storefronts and drive-thrus every month, HOA common areas every quarter, house washes once a year. None of it needs to be sold again, but all of it needs to be remembered. Forget a monthly drive-thru for two months and you will hear about it. The Waiting List is how PressureWashingBossPro remembers for you.

From the Map of Crews to the Map of Work

The office map in Crew GPS on the Office Map: Seeing Every Pressure Washing Rig During the Day shows where your rigs are. The Waiting List map shows where your work is waiting. One helps you run today. The other helps you build the days ahead.

What the Waiting List Shows

The Waiting List is a live map and list of every recurring visit that has come due. Each recurring service is set by minimum days between visits — 30 for a monthly storefront, 90 for a quarterly HOA area, 365 for a yearly house wash — and when that many days pass after the last completed visit, the address appears.

Pins on the map are colored by status:

One-time jobs live on the schedule too, but the Waiting List is built for the work that repeats.

Why a Map Beats a List

A list of due visits tells you what needs doing. A map tells you what belongs together. When six storefront sidewalks in the same shopping area are all due this week, you can see them as a cluster of pins and put them on the same morning. When a yearly house wash is due next to a house you already have scheduled on Thursday, you can see that too.

That is how routes get dense. Instead of scheduling each recurring visit on whatever day comes next, you schedule them in groups that share a part of town. Each rig drives less and washes more. More on that idea in Building Route Density: Booking Pressure Washing Neighbors on the Same Day.

Turning Pins Into a Route

A simple weekly routine works for most operators:

Once a visit is scheduled and completed, it drops off the Waiting List and the clock starts again. Next month, or next quarter, or next year, it comes back on its own.

Not Due Yet Is Useful Too

Pins that are not due yet are easy to ignore, but they help with planning. If a quarterly HOA entrance is due next week and you already have the commercial rig in that neighborhood this week, it may make sense to pull it a few days early. Minimum days between visits is a minimum: a visit should not happen sooner than that, but the exact day is your call.

Not-due-yet pins also tell you what the next few weeks will look like. If a lot of yearly house washes are about to come due in spring, you can see the wave coming and plan rig time for it.

Overdue Is a Warning Light

An overdue pin is a recurring customer who has gone longer than they agreed to. One or two now and then is normal, especially after a rainy stretch. A map full of overdue pins means the schedule is not keeping up, and a commercial customer may start shopping around. Treat overdue pins as the first thing to schedule each week.

Billing Follows the Visit

When the crew completes a recurring visit, the invoice is created and a card on file can be charged. For accounts with many locations, monthly account billing sends one statement covering every location, with each line labeled by address. The Waiting List can spread those locations across different days without making the bill messy.
