A House Washing Day on the Crew App: Start, Photos, Complete and Charge

All the planning in the office comes down to a crew, a rig and a phone. This guide follows a residential crew through a typical day on the PressureWashingBossPro crew app, from clocking in to the last house, so owners can see what their crews will actually do and crews can see how little they need to tap.

Before the Rig Leaves

The notes that make the first minutes at each house go smoothly are covered in Access Notes for House Washes: Spigots, Plants, Pets and Cars. On the crew app, those notes are right on each job card.

The crew app runs in the browser on iPhone and Android and installs to the home screen. There is no app store download. Each crew member logs in with the company login and a personal PIN, so every job, photo and clock-in belongs to the right person. The time clock is in the same app, so the day starts with a clock-in.

The day's jobs show in route order, the same order the office set on the Scheduled List. A typical residential rig might have a mix: three yearly plan houses that came due on the Waiting List, one new house and driveway package from an approved estimate, and a roof soft wash saved for the afternoon.

Reading the Card

Each job card shows the address with a navigation button, then the job details in one line:

House Wash, Driveway · 3,800 sq ft · 2-story · Vinyl · Soft Wash

Underneath are the access notes — spigot location, gate code, dog, plants to cover, cars to move — and past notes from earlier visits. For a yearly customer, the crew can see what last year's crew wrote: “Heavy green on north wall, extra dwell time,” or “Customer likes the mailbox post done too.” The crew knows the job before they leave the last driveway. Every field is explained in House Wash Job Details: Square Feet, Stories, Siding and Method on Every Job.

Navigate, Start, and the Customer Knows

One tap on the navigation button opens directions to the address. As the crew works the route, the customer gets an automatic on-the-way text and then an arrived text. Customers who turned on the “when I'm next” alert get a heads-up while the crew is still at the house before theirs. Nobody on the crew types a message.

At the house, the crew taps Start. The office can see the job is underway, and crew GPS shows on the office map, so the office knows where each rig is if a customer calls asking.

Before Photos, the Wash, After Photos

Before anything gets wet, the crew takes before photos in the app: the worst side of the house, the driveway, and anything already damaged. Then the wash: pre-wet plants, soft wash the siding, rinse, surface clean the driveway. Then the after photos from the same spots. The photos stay with the job, ready for the office to share with the customer or to answer a question later.

If the customer is home and happy, this is the moment to offer the yearly plan, with the before photo on the screen.

Complete and Charge

When the work is done, the crew taps Complete. That creates the invoice, with line items and sales tax. If the customer has a card on file, it can be charged right then. The crew does not knock on the door about payment, does not wait for a check and does not leave an envelope. For a yearly plan house, completing the visit also starts the clock toward next year's visit.

If something on site changed, like a new dog, a different gate code or a customer request for next time, the crew adds it to the job notes so the office can update the address.

When a Stop Cannot Happen

Rain, cars that never moved, a locked gate. When a job cannot be done, the crew taps Skip with a note explaining why: “Two cars in driveway, customer not home.” The office sees the reason and can text the customer and reschedule. A recurring visit stays on the Waiting List until it is actually done.

End of the Day

After the last house, the crew clocks out in the same app. In the office, the day is already wrapped up: jobs completed with photos, invoices created, cards charged, skips noted with reasons. Nobody has to collect clipboards or type up the day's work.
